Wendler Cycle 2 Week 2/Squats

I woke up this morning a little heavier than usual, 203 almost 204. I'd complain, but I'm actually grateful considering I'm about to do another squat workout this week. I'll need that extra fat and water to save my goose! I usually do a Dead lift workout on Friday, but I've been getting complaints at the YMCA I work at from the noise, and I frankly don't want to hear anymore of THAT noise. My lower back is also still acting up quite a bit, so I'm giving it a little bit of a rest. However, I'm going to mix and match the workouts I usually do.

Back Squats:

5 reps final set
DC 3-2

That depth is getting better. It's almost respectable!

These felt fuckin fantastic. Best squat session to date. Chalk it up to extra carbs, more sleep or whatever, but these felt incredible. I'm thinking doing squats at least twice a week might be the key to finally perfecting this lift. I've been toying with this idea for a while...and frankly its starting to sound more appealing every day...more research must be done.

Front Squats:
150lbs
5x10

Dat white boy ass.
These were fairly good, I've done better with lesser weight, However I did the first 3 sets belt-less. But because my form was deteriorating I threw it on to save my back for the last couple of sets.

Straight Leg Deadlift
145lbs
5x10

I dominated these. To save my back, I may back off of conventional deadlifts for a bit, at least until my constant driving has ended and I can be in a gym that supports my deadlift desires.

Glute Thrust
150lbs
5x10

My ass! This is a fantastic exercise, it really builds up the glutes.

Calf Raises
8 plates plus 40lbs
5x30
^^^Fuck around.

Weighted Ab Crunches
150lbs
5x22

I listened to more of The Rake's Progress for this workout. That music has a kick to it, you know? Makes me want to listen to The Rite of Spring...but just the fist bumping part and the end.

Ol' Yeargain is gonna be seeing his Alma Mater perform Ned Rorem's Our Town this evening. Me thinks I will feast before it. Say hello to him if you see his goofy ass.
