Wendler cycle 5 week 3/bench

Woke up at 203.1.

Big jump from yesterday, but I did have a little fun. T'was St. Pattys after all. I was worried it might affect my workout, especially with the hurt forearm and all. But, I will do what I have set out to do...(name that show.)

Bench press

At least 4
DC 2-1

I was pleased with the 4 reps on the last set. I think I'm reaching my limit as far as hitting five on the final set is concerned, but I felt great about this set. My first DC I got cocky, went for a third and hit failure hard. Had to push it off of my chest on to the floor. I was worried that I might have cost myself the rest of the workout with that behavior.

Overhead press

At least 3
DC 2-2

The new grip width is doing wonders for this lift. The last set was difficult, but I was very pleased with the three reps I got and the subsequent DC.

Incline dumbbell press
80 x 5
75 x 5 x 3
70 x 5 

These were hard, but I'm definitely getting stronger with this lift. Even the first 80lb set felt fairly manageable. I'm curious how adding another 80lb set will go.


I was working so hard during these that I could feel my leg muscles activating...yeah, I know, crazy!

Skull crushers

Great tricep pump. Great movement. 

Chest flys

Weighted ab crunches

Pull ups
10lbs x 8

Not an attractive face in the bunch.
