Wendler cycle 6 week 1/bench


Stayed up way too late again. Purely my fault. But my old friend was in town and I wasn't gonna leave early just for sleep. I'll make up for it in nap city.

Warm up: 15 min on elliptical 

Bench press

I got 6
DC 4-3-3

I knew right away that I had overextended myself for this workout. I failed at my attempt for a 7th rep. My energy and strength was not where it needed to be for this workout. I pushed through though.

Overhead press

I got 6
DC 4-4-3

These surprised me. I believe it's because my shoulders are not nearly as taxed as my chest, but I performed better at these than my chest movements. Crazy.

Incline Dumbbell press
80 x 5
75 x 5 x 4

65lbs x 8

Lol. I went up for 80s and could not lift them. My chest was drained. So, I decided. The rest of this workout is going to have to be pure Hypertrophy. So, I took the blow to the ego and I got to work.


Body weight

These were great. Light, fast, but still had to dig for those last reps.

Skull crushers

I decided to go with the original weight. I had to fight and grit for it, but I got it.

Weighted ab crunches


Pull ups
10lbs x 11

Life hands you lemons. Get a fuckin pump.

20 min of stairmaster.
