A brief update...

Ol' Yeargain has been busy. And frankly, I've been a bit too broke and angry the past couple of weeks to write something of use. I prefer to keep myself out of trouble when I can, and sometimes I can't keep my mouth shut and not destroy someone's ego on this platform or get people butt hurt over my shenanigans. I'm not a hateful person, just in a bit of a career slump and workin my butt off to get to the top of this hill.

Current "Things"

I haven't been in a tremendous amount of rehearsal for the production of Thoroughly Modern Millie I'm in, but the couple I have been to have been a LOT of fun. After doing a long string of Murderers, fathers, rapists, and people who take themselves very very seriously, it's rather nice to sing a very lighthearted workaholic. If you're in the area, please come see this show, the cast is very fun and immensely talented. I can't wait to work more on this show. As you can probably tell, my frustrations in life are NOT related to this.

Ol' Yeargain is makin gainz. They call me Yeargainz. My goals for this past few months have been achieved in spades.

2 x Body Weight Deadlift for 2x2

300lb Squat

230lb Bench Press

100lb + BW Weighted Chin

80lb + BW 5x6 Weighted Dips

115 5x5 Overhead Press

You can see my obvious leverage advantages in my Pulling Movements, the Deadlift and Weighted Chins far ahead of my Pressing Movements. I'm pleased as fuckin punch over all of it. And really, just trial and error with my own programming has been a big factor. I've really been sinking my teeth into a daily undulating Periodization combined with my own style of the conjugate system. I don't know if it's the solution for everyone, I have reservations about having my own clients try it out, but I have a feeling when I've "perfected" it that it will create hella gainz. Of course, I think it's best used when you have the equipment and the time. An hour in the gym a day is too much on some of the people I work with and some people have to use shit like Planet fitness. Alas, I ramble...

Ol' Yeargain is poor as FUCK. So, to combat this, I've acquired four jobs. They are as follows:

Delivery Job

Church Job

Pumpkin Patch Rancher

and of course...

Personal Training

I remember hearing that personal training in a gym scenario is a real grind. It's rather difficult to start out and acquire clients. I'm headfirst in that struggle. I won't go into full details, but I will say that on one hand it is rather fulfilling, and on the other it is exhausting and a bit depressing.

My online clients are by far the most amazing investment of my time and energy I've ever had. Because we all have past experiences with each other, they know me well and we've gotten to know each other better, I'm growing as a coach, and they are growing (literally, growing muscles) and shrinking (Lol)! They are all on different tracks, too, so I'm able to adjust my programming based on what they currently have available in regards to time, resources, and energy levels are concerned. And, even though we're more or less going through a process where I'm breaking down and rebuilding their bodies, we're having so much fucking fun doing it. Literally, not a day has gone by where I don't hear about another PR or someone losing weight, or one of them is exhibiting another level of strength and confidence I haven't seen in them before. So fucking rewarding. That being said, I'm spoiled with my current batch. I know that compliance isn't always this high, but it makes me hungry for their results when they trust in my methods. And they should, I know what the fuck I'm talking about and I know how to get results.

And not to overly plug my own services, but I'm always looking for new people to work with. Not just anybody, but people willing to work, learn, and grow. Because I've been spoiled by great clients, I'm not going to just take on anyone. The precedent has been set. And I'm not talking that you need to be an athlete, a body builder, or whatever, I'm talking about people who want answers about how to improve themselves and are tired of half truths they hear from crap sources. Nobody I work with has a background in fitness, but they all out perform every dumb ass bro that walks into your daily globo gym. If you don't believe me, you can read my testimonials.

If you want to make a change in your life that will last your whole life, hit me up on my Client Email: and we'll talk it over. For the amount of attention you get from me, I'm dirt cheap. Alright, I'm done plugging.

Until next time, keep your head cool, keep your pocket book as full as you can without losing your mind, find the things you love to do and chase after them with every god damn fiber in your body, and as always...

Lift Big, Sing Big, and Look Great Doing it.
